Every year that I teach I try to add elements to my curriculum that will improve my students' overall experience in Academic English 10. I add activities that I believe will be relevant to the students, as well as help prepare them for their futures. I gather these ideas from a variety of places. For example, I collaborate with my colleagues, I conduct research on my own, I learn from my previous successes and failures with lessons, but most importantly, I learn from the graduate courses that I have taken. Many of these graduate courses have been aimed at improving my teaching so that my students are receiving an education that will prepare them for the global economy and make them successful in the 21st century.
